Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Prices Increased: What Buyers Need to Know

Posted on May 5, 2025 By kapil No Comments on Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Prices Increased: What Buyers Need to Know

Maruti Suzuki has announced a price hike for its popular MPV, the Ertiga, effective from April 2025. This move follows similar actions by other automakers in India, including Hyundai and Mahindra, who have also raised prices across their model ranges due to rising costs. The Ertiga, known for its practicality and family-friendly features, now comes with revised pricing and some updates that buyers should be aware of.

Reasons Behind the Price Increase

The primary factors contributing to the price hike include:

  • Rising Raw Material Costs: The automotive industry is experiencing increased expenses due to higher prices of essential materials like steel, aluminum, and electronic components.
  • Inflation and Operational Expenses: General inflation and increased operational costs have impacted the overall pricing structure for manufacturers.
  • Supply Chain Challenges: Ongoing disruptions in global supply chains have led to higher logistics and procurement costs.

In response to these challenges, Maruti Suzuki has adjusted the prices of its vehicles, including the Ertiga, to maintain quality and profitability.

Updated Pricing of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

Following the price hike, the Ertiga’s ex-showroom prices now range between ₹8.69 lakh and ₹13.03 lakh, depending on the variant. The updated prices are as follows:

  • LXi(O): ₹8,69,000
  • VXi(O): ₹9,83,000
  • VXi(O) CNG: ₹10,78,000
  • ZXi(O): ₹10,93,000
  • VXi AT: ₹11,23,000
  • ZXi Plus: ₹11,63,000
  • ZXi(O) CNG: ₹11,88,000
  • ZXi AT: ₹12,33,000
  • ZXi Plus AT: ₹13,03,000

These prices reflect a uniform increase of ₹5,000 across all variants, with the exception of the top-spec ZXi+ 6AT variant, which now stands at ₹13.13 lakh ex-showroom.

New Features and Updates

Despite the price increase, Maruti Suzuki has enhanced the Ertiga’s value proposition by introducing additional features:

  • Standard Safety Features: Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and Hill Hold Assist are now standard across all variants, enhancing safety for all passengers.
  • Design Refresh: The Ertiga has received a facelift, including a new chrome-finished grille, dual-tone alloy wheels, and updated tailgate garnish with chrome inserts.
  • Interior Upgrades: The cabin now boasts a refreshed dashboard finish and dual-tone seat upholstery, contributing to a more premium feel.
  • Infotainment Enhancements: The updated infotainment system includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, offering improved connectivity options.
  • CNG Variant Updates: The CNG variant continues to offer excellent fuel efficiency, with a claimed mileage of 26.11 km/kg, making it a cost-effective choice for long-distance driving.

Market Position and Competitor Comparison

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga competes in the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) segment against models like the Kia Carens, Mahindra Marazzo, and Toyota Innova Crysta. While the price increase brings the Ertiga closer in cost to some of its competitors, it still offers a compelling package with its blend of features, space, and fuel efficiency.

Buyers seeking a versatile family vehicle with modern amenities and a reputation for reliability may find the Ertiga to be a worthwhile consideration, even at the revised price point.

Conclusion

The recent price hike of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga reflects broader industry trends influenced by rising costs and supply chain challenges. While the increased prices may influence purchasing decisions, the added features and updates enhance the Ertiga’s appeal in the competitive MPV market. Prospective buyers should weigh these factors to determine if the Ertiga aligns with their needs and budget.
